$4.19

  1. About the price of a gallon of milk right now.

  2. Most likely will be the price of a gallon of gas this summer.

  3. Not usually enough to buy you a fast food meal deal, especially when you go to Dairy Queen & want a Blizzard with your meal.

  4. Not even enough to buy a roll of stamps or even a car wash for that matter.

  5. What I spent to fix my washer when it wasn't turning my clothes around & I thought I was going to finally get to buy a new one. The fix? "Agitator dogs"...$4.19 on Amazon.com and even with free S&H!

Thank you, guy on YouTube & thank you Whirlpool for making old stuff that lasts and that's cheap and easy to fix! Saved me AT LEAST 40 bucks, (the price for him to just come here), by not having to call the lately-frequently-visiting appliance repair guy who would come in to tell me it will cost probably $60 for him to fix it!! Yay me! Now I actually feel like I accomplished something this week!

Time flies...

It's been said that time flies when you're having fun, but I find that it also goes by fairly quickly when you have lots to do! Between the everyday duties, I find March filling up as well as the next 2 months. I am in the last 2 months in my responsibilities as a District Director for the MN Women of Today and it certainly has been a ride! Not to mention that I am coordinating the spring bloodmobile to be held at the end of this month, and we are in the beginning stages of getting this year's vacation bible school ready to do after school gets out rather than doing it in the fall.

Add into that a trip to Fargo to see my family, getting the RCIA class and AJ ready for full communion and first communion into the Church, kindergarten registration, diaconate weekends, Junior High Youth Festival, birthday parties, meetings and just time to do something with each other!

Really, I'm not complaining & I realize that I need to take it day by day, otherwise I will go nuts trying to look at it all like I did here. But what I have realized is how important it is, no matter how crazy things are, that I need to take the time for myself to sit down and be in quiet prayer and to also make time for my new workout regimine so I can blow off some stress and steam & not feel so physically crappy all of the time! Those might be the only reasons I am NOT going crazy right now...that & maybe small doses of Tylenol PM on nights when I can't settle my mind.

Time to do some melting...

No, I'm not talking about the snow...although that would be nice!

Now that I have had my 8th 29th birthday, I have decided that my body is not going to change anymore unless I have some physical activity in my life. In order to change my habits, I have started working out everyday & have now accomplished one full week! The decision to do it was my own, but I have to confess that Jason has been busy working out for over a month now & as usual, he is my motivator to do something that I normally don't choose to do on my own. I know, that's pitiful, but at least I'm choosing good habits!

Faith said something really funny yesterday while Jason was working out. He is an avid sweater, (not sweater as in wool...sweater as in sweaty. Maybe I should just say perspirator!) As he's working out, Faith is watching him & she looks up at him & says, "Daddy, you're melting!" Oh the things that she sees and how she puts it into words! Priceless!!
