May blasted through our home like a desert storm, leaving fond memories and trails of dust (bunnies) from a busy schedule and a full-but-fun, cleanliness-neglected home.
We officially have half of our kids graduated from high school! Faith had several trips onto the stage for the ceremony as Class President, Co-Valedictorian, High Honors & to receive her diploma. She surprisingly ended up getting to walk in/out with her boyfriend, Joe, and they decided to show everyone their special handshake. They have lots of fun together and will both be attending the University of MN Duluth in the fall.
While planning her open house & accommodating visiting family leading up to the event, we attended numerous softball games in bad weather, baseball for all 3 boys & year-end school functions.
Faith played shortstop (for the most part) and her team ended the season with a 14-7 record and a Camden Conference Championship (which has been a long stretch since the last one.)
With that win, she was a part of 3 teams that accomplished that honor (volleyball & basketball as well).
At her banquet, she was awarded with All-Conference, Most Valuable Teammate, Most Valuable Defensive Player, Academic All-Conference & MSHSL Spotlight on Scholarship (3.0+ GPA)
We were very excited to have all of her Grandma's here to visit for her open house. G'ma Myhre lives here in Minneota. G'ma Johnson flew in from Washington and brought her the t-shirt quilt that she spent the last several months making. We managed to get Nana Thuy away from her busy life in Illinois to stay with us after not seeing her for over 6 years. It's fun to pick up right where we left off and to hear them comment how much the kids have grown since they last saw them and have both of my moms together under our roof.
