Tails

The other day the girls were watching SuzyCat & admiring her tail. 

Laney:  I wish I had a tail!
Me: (Wondering why she would desire that & what they would say when I asked...)  Why? What's a tail good for?
Laney: (in typical educated-fashion) A tail is good for balancing!
Faith: (in typical Faith-fashion) A tail is good for covering your butt!

I guess I never thought of it that way.  My thought was also balancing, but thank you Faith for helping me to discover another reason to have a tail.

Updates

So it's been a month since my last post, but you know that we moved, right??  It took a good week to get the "regular" computer hooked up as well, so I didn't even really consider blogging from a tablet and forget about getting pictures on here from that!  I will try to get to that this week...

Along with the move, we have celebrated Easter, Faith's First Communion, Jason's graduation, watched Laney in volleyball games, a piano recital, and her winning an award in a regional Creative Writing Contest, Jason's baseball season opener, and today alone, celebrated local graduates, Mother's Day, and an open house.  (Needless to say, I did not have to cook or clean at all today & I am very full from all the yummy food.) 

The move has gone well.  We have most of our stuff at the new house, with some unpacking and sorting left to do, but that has taken a back seat while we live out our daily lives and try to get through the next few weeks of the end of the school year.  On nice days (which have been few) we try to work outside.  We finally got the leaves raked and hauled out and uncovered a pleather of plants and flowers.  The daffodils opened today and brought a beautiful splash of yellow to a gray and dreary day.  Our trees are blossoming and I can't wait to sit on the deck with a glass of wine overlooking it all and enjoying the view.  It hasn't taken long to settle in and feel at home, and everyone has adjusted wonderfully...even the cat (even though she took a little longer.)

Jason has also had some exciting news.  Not only did he graduate from his Masters (in teaching) program, he started up his Masters (in administration) courses this week as well.  What's 2 more years at this point, huh??  He also applied for the Athletic Director position at the High School and was hired for that.  He will no longer be teaching religion part-time, so that will fill that void of income.  He will still be the principal at the school where four of our children will attend next year.  With taking on that new job, he did also let go of the Summer Rec Director job, as well as coaching youth baseball.  He is still coaching and playing for the amateur baseball league.

I will get pictures updated on here soon so you can see what we've been up to and how much everyone is growing.  I'm pretty sure Noah is having a growth spurt...that or he has narcolepsy.  He has been taking and extra nap most days and eats like he's got worms.  (I wish I could use that excuse for being tired and eating too much!)
