Busted!

The kids like to eat "snacks" like a spoonful of peanut butter or Nutella.  The other day Laney had a spoonful sitting on the counter while she did something.  When she came back it was gone...well, the spoon was still there...and so was Ian.

Laney (laughing):  "Ian, did you eat my chocolate?"
Ian (innocently):  "Nope!"

You be the judge...

For future reference

When the babysitter brings cornstarch and offers to make what I call slime, it might sound like a fun thing for her and the kids to do, but it's not exactly the best idea I've agreed to all week.  Let's just say that I'll be washing a few more dishes and areas of the kitchen that I hadn't planned on cleaning today.

Reality speaks at the doctor's office

So I've been in denial about my baby's melon & the comments such as, "He's got a big head!" or "His forehead is big."  As a mother, we often tend to see only the beauty in the gift of their presence and not their physical traits that appear so easily to others.  So at his 9 month checkup, Noah's height and weight were taken as well as his head circumference.  The first two measurements were within the range of 25-30% which means that he's a little small for his age...at least for those two.  Head, not so much.   That's at 99%.  So, actually he's got a "normal" size head for his age, it's the rest of his body that just needs to catch up.  That would be good if it happened soon because he's really good at landing on his head when he falls.

Can't help but think about the movie, "So I married an axe murderer"...The accent really tops it off.  Jason's brother, Seth, can imitate it perfectly & we have laughed quite often over this movie and the size of his godson's "heed".
