No use crying over big hair

Today was 80's dress up day at school. The girls were all excited about getting dressed up & I tried to recall what we all wore. Most of all I remembered "the hair". Faith was the first to get her hairstyle. Big bangs, winged out sides...all manufactured by backcombing, hairspray and more hairspray and the hair dryer to make it all stay nice and crunchy. She was all giggles and smiles as I did it, and when I was done, she quickly made her way to the bathroom mirror. Not the reaction I anticipated. She started crying. She no longer wanted her hair done '80's style. After all that fussing with her hair I guess I was a little upset that the diva in her was coming out. I compromised with a high side ponytail. Happy again & ready for school. Mission accomplished. Maybe next time I'll have to let them find a picture of the decade they're dressing in so there are no surprises.

Ah, the weather in Minnesota...

less than 2 weeks ago, school was cancelled and we had our first snow day of the year. Today it was 70 degrees and the bugs were out.

I'm not making light of Christ's Passion, but this one got me laughing...

Wake up!

Nothing like the sound of vomiting to force you to awake from your slumber. The good news is that it wasn't any of the kids...it was SuzyCat. The bad news is that I'm not sure where she did it. Not traveling around the house today without the slippers on!
