I can't help but wonder if the saying, "You can have your cake and eat it too," derived from someone watching their baby celebrate their first birthday and being turned loose on their very own piece of cake. The saying takes on a whole new meaning after watching the pure joy that springs forth from not only consuming a large amount of sugar, but being able to do with it whatever you want. (Yes, that's cake up his nose...)
