Heeere, fishy fishy fishy!!

These past couple of weeks have been a blur! We finally have our internet hooked up, so I thought it was time to catch up on all that is anew with our bunch.

Ian is now strong enough to somewhat enjoy the exersaucer (for a short while usually) and here he is amid the boxes before our move.

My mom came down to visit and spent half of her time cooking. We enjoyed curry chicken, fried rice, egg rolls (with homemade sweet & sour sauce as well), wonton soup (Laney made all the wontons), and much more. She definitely spoiled us & we hope she comes back soon, and not just to cook! Laney loved having her Nana Thuy teaching her to cook. They are so much alike!

On Wednesday, we went up to Father Jeremy's lake cabin to take a break from the madness and get the kids out to fish. They played in the lake despite it's chilly temperature.

AJ caught this little bass all by himself...he was so excited to see it jump out of the water as he reeled it in.Laney really enjoyed fishing this time as well...

...but Ian and I reeled in the big one! On our 2nd cast, we landed this 24 inch walleye, which we hear are rare to this lake. He was definitely good eats! Thank goodness for the sling, or I may have missed my opportunity. (Thanks to Father for manning the net.)
